Build the most interesting thing on the internet

It could even be a Mini App. Plus a preview of the FWBuilders workshops.

💫 No Full-Stack Resume Required 💫

The FWB thesis is simple: creative technologists are the most valuable innovators in our increasingly speculative future. Which is why we’re alchemizing FWB’s cultural capital into a launchpad for people building thoughtful and aesthetically sharp software for the next era of the internet.

We’re seeing this play out in World Build, where insights and builder support from the World and FWB ecosystem have converted into 15 Mini Apps with over $6M (and counting) in Mini App funding. Mini Apps are a prime example of cultural applications of emerging technology—which we believe will drive retail adoption

We’re cultivating more experiments that push the boundaries of technical capability and cultural possibility through our new program, FWBuilders. FWBuilders is designed to champion builders who move between code, design, infrastructure and culture. (No full-stack resume, no problem! We provide vibe-coding and builder matchmaking resources.)

If you’ve ever felt like you were building in the wrong room, this is the room for you. We're proving that the future of technology is fundamentally cultural.

Apply to join the Alpha Cohort (May 2–June 10, 2025).
Applications open until April 28.

FEST25 Community Programming Update

FEST25 embraces the tension between predictive systems and unpredictable realities. We invited community members to propose workshops, installations, performances, and activations that explore the alignment—and friction—between models and myths, datasets and dreams, calculation and culture.

The FEST Team will begin outreach and confirmations on Friday, April 25, 2025. We are grateful to every member who shared their vision.

FEST25 is back July 31–August 3

“We are living through a syzygy: a celestial alignment of technical systems and symbolic structures, of oracles and errors, of datasets and dreams.”

Our favorite weekend returns for a 4th year to the breathtaking campus of Idyllwild Arts in Idyllwild, CA.

Distribute Your Music with Original Works and Get Paid Onchain, Instantly

Original Works is a decentralized and open-source protocol for distributing and monetizing your music onchain. We integrate with the traditional music supply chain, and once a song is distributed, traditional music royalties are paid out onchain through smart contracts.

If you are an independent artist or label, you can now enable instant royalty collection from major platforms in USDC, with payments sent directly to artist wallets via smart contracts. Access advances, easily manage revenue sharing, and retain full self-custody of your music.

Read the OW artist deck to learn more, and reach out to [email protected] to book an introductory call.
