The FEST Prophecy

icymi a rare white buffalo calf was born in Yellowstone park earlier this week, fulfilling a Lakota prophecy. Similarly in 2023, Charli XCX played FEST after hours with forever collaborator A. G. Cook. Everyone who witnessed this legendary set has been riding the tremors of the Brat internet takeover, fulfilling the FEST prophecy of emerging music discovery. I can’t wait to get sweaty and weird at after hours with SoFFT, Kim Ann Foxman, and DJ Python.
A. G. Cook, our PC Music darling, attended FEST22, played FEST23 after hours, and is now headlining FEST 2024. Don’t know who this man is? Check out his very brief cameo in Charli’s 360, and try not to play Britpop on loop. While you’re at it, listen to our FEST24 playlist to get hyped.

But ofc FEST is more than a music festival — it’s a convergence of the distributed internet cognition at the intersection of culture and emerging tech. Token Migration Proposal
This proposal details the strategic migration of the $FWB token from the Ethereum Mainnet to Base Layer 2 and the introduction of a new token, $Benefits, which will serve as a utility-focused arcade coin within the FWB ecosystem. Voting open until June 18.

Q3 Budget Proposal
On Monday (6/17), a new budget proposal for Q3 ‘24 will drop in Discord #proposals-workshop for discussion. The budget proposal will include a recap across DAO governance, finances, operations, partnerships, internal initiatives, and events for the most recent quarter (Q2 ‘24), as well as a high level overview of financial and operational planning for the coming quarter.

FEST24 SCHOLARSHIPS
FWB is bringing a cohort of artists, builders, culture creators, and technologists to attend FEST free of cost. Scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary pass to FEST and will need to provide their own travel, accommodations, and food while at FEST.
Scholarships applications are open June 7, 2024 through June 21, 2024 (11:59pm PST).
Scholarships will be awarded by June 26, 2024.
Accepted scholars will be notified by email.
