PATTERN LANGUAGE AT WORK
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
When we set out to build our decentralized events program we always held the larger vision that we would be able to surface best in class & trusted producers around the world from our community. The event key program was our method to find the signals in the noise, the community members who put their hands up to take ownership of our brand worldwide. Our theory was that if we had the following mix…
Trusted members through application
Standards from elite vibes curators (Cities Programs)
And scalable/ shareable value (Pattern Language)
Low stakes trials (Event Keys)
…that we could build a world class group of event co-producers.
As I sit here in Tokyo ahead of our 2nd installment with Worldcoin, The Palimpsest of Personhood, I see our plans bearing fruit. FWB’s trusted global decentralized community is second to none, and our ability to have high quality events anywhere our members are is a testament to that.
Thank you to FWB Tokyo member Mike Senda for putting his hand up. His agency PUSH killed it for our Tokyo iteration & is curating a Required Reading at FEST.
As always, Event Keys are open to members.
THE PALIMPSEST OF PERSONHOOD:
FWB x WORLDCOIN x PUSH IN TOKYO
We explored The Paradox of Personhood back in January within the specific context of Mexico City’s beloved contemporary art fair, Feria Material Vol. 10. We’re running it back for another edition of our partnership with Worldcoin, exploring the many iterations of personhood within emerging technology.
Next week, we revisit personhood in Japan alongside our friends at PUSH for 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓟𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓶𝓹𝓼𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓟𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓭, a two-day pop-up experiential gallery at The Plug on July 6 & 7.

BIG THANKS to every FWB member that applied to our open call for FEST community submissions. We’re very excited to welcome 30 community-sourced programming moments including interactive art, creative practice workshops, required readings, a mainstage moment, and plenty of DJ sets. Also, the beloved pasta workshop returns.
Stay tuned for the full schedule next week 👀👀
5 DAYS LEFT TO APPLY FOR FEST24 ARTIST GRANTS
Calling all artists! We’re funding 10 artists with 3,000 OP each to experience FEST. Applications are open from Thursday, June 27 to Monday, July 8. Funds will be distributed by Friday, July 12. See you at FEST!
Artists and creators are at the heart of FWB. As culturalists in search of better tech, we flock together looking for ways to expand the squad. Our friends at Optimism feel the same (cc: We <3 The Art). Which is why we’ve teamed up with them to bring 10 deserving artists to FEST to display work, touch grass, and squad-up with fellow cultural technologists.
Application is open until Monday, July 8. Winners will receive funds by Friday, July 12.
STELLAR ASKS, “WHAT’S YOUR BETTER?”
The financial landscape is riddled with paradoxes. Technology continues to evolve at breakneck speeds, vastly changing how we work, earn, save, and transact. Yet huge swaths of the population remain excluded from the benefits of these changes. The Stellar Development Foundation aims to address this disparity by empowering people with greater financial access worldwide.
On Stellar, the focus is real-world applications and tangible solutions. In rural Colombia, Stellar-based applications are revolutionizing payment systems for agricultural workers, enhancing safety and financial freedom. In Ukraine, Stellar Aid Assist, a first-of-its-kind aid disbursement system, facilitates more efficient and transparent aid distribution, proving the real-world utility of blockchain technology in humanitarian efforts. In TradFi, financial institutions like Franklin Templeton have built financial products that are more accessible to everyday people, opening up new avenues for people to invest for as little as $20.
The Stellar Development Foundation's mission extends into evolving how we approach finance itself, creating a more inclusive, efficient, and creative approach that works for people from all walks of life. By leveraging blockchain technology, we are paving the way for a financial future where geographic boundaries and economic status no longer dictate access to financial services.
We know that true innovation doesn't happen in isolation. Cultural innovators, artists, tech enthusiasts, and creative thinkers play a crucial role in shaping the future. It's this diverse pool of perspectives and ideas that will drive the next wave of financial evolution, helping ensure that more people have better access to everyday financial services.
This is where you come in. Enter "What's Your Better?"– an open invitation for dreamers to contribute to the future of finance. We are asking you to tell us: what are the obstacles you see in your community? How can you imagine everyday life better? We’re looking to you to share your ideas on how blockchain technology can be utilized to solve real-world problems and drive financial innovation. Join us in dreaming big, from solving problems at the root to branching out into new territories.
Whether you're a developer with a knack for coding, an artist with a unique perspective on value exchange, an entrepreneur with a revolutionary business model, or a thought leader with a vision for a more equitable financial system—your input is not just welcome, it's essential.
Stellar provides the technological foundation, but it's the ideas and applications built on this foundation that will push the boundaries of what's possible. The future of money is being written right now, and this is your chance to be one of its authors.
So, what's your vision for a better financial future? How would you leverage blockchain technology to create a more open, equitable, and innovative financial system? These are the questions Stellar is posing to this vibrant community of creators, thinkers, and doers.
Let’s tap into the power of collective innovation. It's not just about creating a better blockchain—it's about building better everyday financial services for everyone.

$FWB IS MIGRATING TO BASE
$FWB is strategically migrating the $FWB token from Ethereum Mainnet to Base Layer 2, and introducing a new arcade token, $Benefits.
This evolution of our token ecosystem is a milestone for FWB. Born from a squad of culture makers interested in emerging technology, we have always been a community of trendsetting experimentalists. Much much more to come on the migration. In the meantime, mark your calendars with these migration milestones, and review the passed proposal for additional questions.

TYSM TO OUR FEST PARTNERS
Deep and many thanks to our FEST host, Idyllwild Arts Academy
Nestled amidst the breathtakingly beautiful village of Idyllwild, high in the San Jacinto mountains of Southern California, the Idyllwild Arts campus serves as a peaceful respite for artists seeking to explore the depths of their creativity and join a broader creative collective through the Academy (an international boarding arts high school) or the Summer Program (an immersive arts camp for all ages).
Idyllwild Arts respectfully acknowledges the Qawishpa Cahuillangnah (also known as Cahuilla Band of Indians) and all nine sovereign Bands of Cahuilla people who have stewarded this land throughout the generations and continue to steward this land for all future generations.
